Where Is RVVswipe Valid?

RVVswipe is valid on buses and regional trains (2nd class) in the RVV area. Please note the following restrictions!

No Validity of RVVswipe:

• City bus services in the following cities: Amberg, Cham, Kelheim, Nabburg, Neumarkt i.d.OPf., Schwandorf, Straubing and Sulzbach-Rosenberg

• BAXI Schwandorf lines 8408 and 8412

• elma, on-demand transport in the western district of Regensburg (RVVswipe will be available there at a later date.)

• Regensburg - Falkenstein bicycle bus

• On-demand bus line 900 Wörth a.d.Donau - Falkenstein

• Long-distance trains (e.g. ICE, IC and EC)

Limited Validity:

If you start your journey in the districts of Amberg-Sulzbach, Cham, Kelheim, Neumarkt i.d.OPf., Schwandorf or Straubing, special fare rules apply:

• If the start and destination of your journey are within certain areas (= internal traffic), the RVV fare does not apply to such a route and you can therefore not use RVVswipe.
• You can see these areas below, on the map (colored dark green).
• In order for the RVV fare to apply and for you to use RVVswipe correctly, you must travel at least to the first stop in the RVV area outside the marked area (i.e., into the light green area).
• However, if your journey took place within a dark green area, you will be charged until the first stop in the RVV area, which is located in the light green area.
