RVV SEMESTER TICKET for Regensburg universities

University info folder, timetable included ("Ruck Zuck folder") download

Over ten years ago, the Regensburg transport association introduced a semester ticket financed by contributions. This allows students from the University of Regensburg and the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences (OTH Regensburg) to take any number of rides on all bus and rail connections in the RVV (2nd class on local trains operating in the RVV area) throughout the entire association area (zones 1-10) for a mandatory contribution of € 86,30 per semester.

The student ID applicable to the relevant semester, coupled with valid official ID/passport, acts as the ticket. The travel authorisation printed on it is non-transferrable.

  • It applies to students from the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences during the winter semester from 1/10/2016 to 31/3/2017, and in the 2016 summer semester from 01/4/2016 to 30/9/2016, i.e. even during semester breaks.
  • Students of the University of Regensburg are entitled to use the ticket during the winter semester from 1/10/2016 to 31/3/2017, and in the 2016 summer semester from 1/4/2016-30/9/2016.

This ticket is not valid for guest students or students with severe disabilities, who are entitled to free transportation.

The university area is serviced by eight regular bus lines.

Lines 2B, 4, 6 and 11 operate all year round. During semester, campusLINES C1, C2, C4 and C6 are added to the service:

In addition to these regular services, the university and university of applied sciences are also serviced directly by lines 19 (from the Bad Abbach region) and 21 (from the southern Regenburg district).

The RVV semester ticket provides access to over 100 bus lines and 6 rail connections throughout the entire association area (see map).
